The Royal Professional Organization of Judicial Officers has the task to preserve the prestige, dignity and rights of the judicial officers, to take care that judicial officers act with conscience and in accordance with the law and to promote the professional qualifications of judicial officers.
The service of judicial and extrajudicial documents in the Netherlands
Since October 1st 2022 the KBvG is no longer a receiving agency under Regulation No. 2020/1784 (former Regulation No. 1393/2007).
In the Netherlands all Judicial Officers have been appointed by law to act as the receiving and transmitting authority and therefore may perform official acts throughout the Netherlands. The request for the service of documents can therefore be send directly to a Judicial Officers office. To locate and contact a Judicial Officer, please check the top right of this page.
The request form for service of documents has to be in Dutch, English or in German language.
